NR TOP 10 August results according to YAHOO

In August NR readers were keenly interested in an old story regarding HUMAN TRAFFICKING. The interest in the subject helped catapult the story to the number 2 spot, it's highest ranking ever.

Our August Phnom Penh (Ah) column compiled by DJ Ken held down the top spot. The piece focuses Internet THEFT, University of Cambodia Career Development Conference, TOMMY LEE GOES TO COLLEGE and how television can help people learn English and life. The seminar on Career Development at the University of Cambodia inspired the piece.

Five of DJ Ken's Phnom Penh (Ah) columns reached the NR Top 10 an all-time high.

An unusual twist to the August column is the recommendation of what TV shows could be of interest to an Asian student that is interested in developing their English language skills and learning about what goes on in the Western world i.e. styles, hygiene, grooming, etiquette (manners), attitudes and good habits.

TV can influence a person's behavior therefore for a student preparing for the job market we suggest reality shows such as The Apprentice, Top Model, Amazing Race and The Contender.

All columns that included the recommendation of TV shows generated a tremendous amount of attention. The controversial Miss Cambodia Contest stirred a lot of notice when we announced it in June until the government denied permission for the event to occur that was announced last month.

BRAZIL Football Que Passa in our Sports Notes July, 2006 column locked down the number 3 position. -

BEWARE of Thailand in our Travel Tips Cambodia - Thailand April, 2006 issue gained the sixth position on our ratings chart.

This month we will shift to a different format. In the past some stories were repetitious given the subject matter. In doing so we will continue to alternate the ratings from month to month by YAHOO and GOOGLE…. BUT…

A new wrinkle will be in our new ratings method. We will now release a Top 10 format and include the previous months ratings to better compare the GOOGLE and YAHOO ratings systems.

We hope this new format will better serve you as to being more familiar with what type of stories interests our readership the most.

There is a tremendous of interest in stories that are relative to tourism. The Cambodian Royal Palace tops the list of the most read travel stories and points of interest.

Our recent coverage on entertainment, TV and video has cultivated a new and a broader spectrum of readers since we introduced it in April.
