AMAZING RACE USA FINAL

At the beginning of this Amazing Race USA edition if you were to choose three teams that you would think would be in the final three to race for the one million US dollar prize it is doubtful that you would pick ANY of the three teams that made it.

Last weeks finish was:

1. The Asian father and daughter team Ron and Christina who finished first for the second week in a row.

For the past few weeks the father has been growing up and respecting his daughter more and ccepting her opinions and decision making. He's stopped yelling at her and embarrassing her in public. Since he has accepted her as an intelligent human being and not just his daughter that he appeared to prefer her to be subservient they have had winning success and are the leading candidates to take home the $1 million prize.

2. The young couple TK and Rachael whom we refer to as the HIPPIE COUPLE

We refer to them s the HIPPIE COUPLE because of their style of dress similar to that worn by the sixties generation during that period. They possess a positive attitude and don't lose their composure or cool (as they said in the sixties). As the English now say lose the plot. This couple has had the roughest time of it during the race seldon finishing in the top three. They also finished last in what turned out to be a non-elimination leg of the race. Of the three teams remaining they have made the most decision making mistakes along the way.

3. The 69-year-old grand pop Donald and his grandson Nicholas.

Grand pop has been doing all of the tough tasks and dirty work that has realized success. The grandson takes on the role of sitting on the perch and dictating policy. It works because grand pop lets him take the lead and notes that when he gets tired the grandson picks up the load and the luggage.

Of all of the entrants in the race these two are the longest shot to win based upon grand pops age but despite that he continues to hanging in there and take more of a leading role by doing most of the tasks. As grand pop points out he is 45 years older than most of the contestants that have been in the race.

The result is there are three LOG SHOT teams battling it out for the $1 million prize Monday night January 21 on the AMAZING RACE USA edition. Tune in or stay tuned for the results. Schedule below.

If you miss Monday's show there usually are two repeats on Saturday. One airs in the morning and the other during early evening. Of course this being Asia and the network being AXN all is subject to change without notice. In the past the Saturday programs were pre-empted without notice or reason.

CAMBODIA'S FRESHIE BOY & GIRL SHOW RETURNS

Cambodia's Freshie Boy & Girl show will return for the 2008 season when the shows producer Boonkerd Angamnuasiri changed his mind after saying at the end of last years 2007 final "James you have just seen the last Freshie show, I am tired." That was the bad news.

The good news is he changed his mind and THE SHOW WILL GO ON with some changes. The 2008 show will be televised on Cambodia's TV 5 after being carried on rival TV 3 since its inception. There will be a new co-host since Vanda Meas became a Mrs. and moved to Australia. Angamnuasiri has yet to make a decision who will host this season's program. An announcement will be January 31 of those who qualify for the contest.

NBA GAMES ON TV

NBA (National Basketball Association) games are televised in the Southeast Asia region on the Star Sports television Network on Friday and ESPN Saturday's. Start times vary depending on the start time in the region of the USA from where the games is televised. NFL (National Football League) from the USA is televised on a delayed basis Saturday at 12:30 PM and Sunday at 6 PM on the CNBC channel

BOXING

The CONTENDER series 2 is currently being televised Monday through Friday on AXN at 9 AM Thailand/Cambodia time and 10 AM in the Singapore/Hong Kong time zone.
